2023 Coral Hurdle Betting Odds at Ascot racecourse

Saturday, 25 November 2023

Goshen has achieved a number of notable victories throughout his career and the seven-year-old could be the one to beat in the Coral Hurdle, with Gary Moore having high hopes for his charge. Theatre Glory is available at a similar price and could be another serious contender, with Nicky Henderson hoping for a successful meeting at Ascot Racecourse this weekend.

Sceau Royal is the other runner trading at single figure betting odds, with Alan King hoping that there is life left in the eleven-year-old who could go well over the trip. Blueking D’Oroux is a younger runner and the four-year-old is definitely capable of making an impact in a race over two miles, three and a half furlongs.

2023 Coral Hurdle Tips

Goshen is the high-profile horse who has eight runners to beat in the Coral Hurdle at Ascot, with the runner returning to the track this weekend for a seasonal debut. Last time out, the runner made little impression when finishing well down the order in the Cesarewitch, with the horse performing better previously when second to Knappers Hill in the Select Hurdle.

However, perhaps the favourite has seen better times and it could be that Theatre Glory is able to take full advantage. Nicky Henderson trains a runner who ran in the Select Hurdle and finished third last April, with the mare previously performing really well in the Mares’ Hurdle at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.

Sceau Royal is the older stager in the field and the eleven-year-old finished fourth out of five runners when appearing in a hurdle race at Kempton Park, although surely Alan King would only be running the horse in this encounter if he thought that it had reasonable claims of landing a victory. Perhaps the charge is on a downward spiral.

Blueking D’Oroux has the credentials to go well and looks like the each-way pick in the race, with Paul Nicholls saddling a runner who has won two and finished runner-up in his past three outings. Last time out, there was a victory in the Masterson Holdings Hurdle at Cheltenham Racecourse, with this coming over two miles and half a furlong.
