2025 JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Betting Odds at Cheltenham racecourse

Saturday, 13 December 2025

There’s a competitive market when it comes to the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle. There are four horses trading at a roughly similar price and any of them might go off as favourite. Precious Man has some runs under his belt although Dan Skelton’s charge is carrying more weight than the majority of other runners in this lineup.

Parchment is an intriguing contender, with David Pipe saddling a horse who was impressive on his debut, although many of the horses are inexperienced and it’s hard to judge. Hallelujah U is something of an unknown but has a strong reputation, with Secret Force the Gavin Cromwell-trained charge who can go close.

Precious Man runs for the third time and there’s been plenty to like about his performances so far. The horse has produced two fine efforts at Auteuil, with the latest being a victory over two miles, half a furlong. The fact that it was on very soft ground bodes well, with this success coming after an impressive bow at 18/1 in a one mile seven furlong contest on heavy ground.

Parchment is a David Pipe-trained charge who was last seen running in June over two miles and one furlong. At Clairefontaine, the 17/5 favourite was able to see off eleven other runners. That was on very soft ground and a more experience charge comes in the form of Hallelujah U who hasn’t yet run. The James Owen-trained charge has been made one of the favourites.

The horse was last seen running at Goodwood when finishing seventh out of fourteen runners at odds of 25/1. That was in the Coral Summer Handicap when the runner competed favourably with more experienced horses. It came after some smart efforts at Ascot and Newmarket, with a total of seven runs being had.

Secret Force can’t be discounted and the Gavin Cromwell-trained runner was a convincing winner at Punchestown in the middle of October. The victory came by six and a half lengths after previously triumphing at Listowel. The former win was over two miles on good to yielding ground and the Irish raider looks the each-way bet to have.

Burdett Road is the horse that has been respected the most by the bookmakers, with the runner trading as favourite to claim a victory in the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle. The layers have taken their lead from a striking performance in November when the horse didn’t jump with fluency but still ended up winning by six and a half lengths.

That came after a win at Huntingdon Racecourse in early November, with Sir Gino having claimed a victory at Kempton during the festive season. Sent off as the 4/9 favourite in a juvenile hurdle, it was a facile triumph for a horse who could have plenty more to offer here. However, some might prefer the chances of Intellotto instead.

The four-year-old was sent off at odds of 10/1 in a recent race at Leopardstown over two miles, with the horse claiming a victory by four and a half lengths. There had previously been encouraging performances and the same can be said of Salver who has achieved three straight wins for trainer Gary Moore.

The Coral Finale Juvenile Hurdle saw Salver sent off as the 5/4 favourite before a twenty-one length victory was recorded, with that coming over two miles on soft ground. Triumphs at Warwick and Exeter will only serve to strengthsn confidence in a runner who is trading at a backable price, with Cossack Chach and Wodhooh available at double figure racing odds.
