2025 Prix Jacques Le Marois Betting Odds at Deauville racecourse

Sunday, 17 August 2025

Palace Pier, Inspiral and Charyn are among the recent winners of the Prix Jacques Le Marois, with the 2025 renewal promising to be a lively encounter. The bookies can’t readily split the first few horses in the betting, with Rosallion potentially going off as favourite to win. The horse has a lively chance although The Lion In Winter might also be a strong contender.

We’re seeing a number of horses trading at single figure odds. Camille Pissarro and Zarigana are next in the market and the bookies also think that Opera Ballo could feature in the frame. This is a top-class encounter and we might also see Henri Matisse lining up, with Porta Fortuna having solid credentials and backable at a decent each-way price.

2025 Prix Jacques Le Marois Betting Tips

Rosallion has been performing at a high level this season, with the four-year-old having finished second out of seven runners at Goodwood. The horse was narrowly beaten when Qirat produced a shock 150/1 win, with that performance suggesting a bold run is on the cards here. That came after another second placed finish, this time at Royal Ascot.

Sent off as the 5/2 favourite in that Group One encounter, the horse was once again narrowly beaten by 14/1 shot Docklands. There was previously a third-placed effort at Newbury in the Lockinge Stakes, although punters might want to go for a horse that has actually passed the post first this season.

The Lion In Winter was last seen running at Deauville, with the horse finishing third out of nine horses in the Prix Jean Prat. That was a decent effort over seven furlongs, with that coming after an underwhelming performance in the Epsom Derby. Finishing fourteenth was not the sort of effort that was expected.

Camille Pissarro is a three-year-old who has tasted success this term. The victory in the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club over one mile, two and a half furlongs saw the horse oblige as the 12/5 favourite. That was a half length success with the horse then lining up in the Coral Eclipse where there was a fourth-placed effort over six runners.

2022 Prix Jacques Le Marois Tips

Coroebus has won four of his five races during a highly successful career, with the three-year-old bidding for a third straight win of the current season. There was a 5/1 success in the Qipco 2000 Guineas Stakes where there was a win by nearly a length over Native Trail who was his hotly-fancied stablemate.

That was over a distance of one mile and that’s the same distance as the Prix Jacques Le Marois, with Coroebus then sent off as the 10/11 favourite before obliging in the St James’ Palace Stakes. This was another Group One encounter, with 28/1 outsider Lusail having pushed the market leader close.

Inspiral is another Royal Ascot winner by virtue of claiming the spoils in the Coronation Stakes, with the filly being sent off at 15/8 before obliging by nearly five lengths and that was also over a distance of one mile. However, the horse was then beaten as the 1/7 favourite on her next outing.

Many punters steered clear of backing the John Gosden-trained runner given that she was such a short price, with Prosperous Voyage able to land the spoils and there could be further improvement needed if she is to land a victory in Deauville.

Prosperous Voyage is also entered in this race and perhaps the latter is capable of another big run at a backable each-way price, with State Of Rest also needing to be respected and the 5/1 win in the Price of Wales’s Stakes when seeing off odds-on favourite Bay Bridge.
