2024 Albert Bartlett River Don Novices Hurdle Betting Odds at Doncaster racecourse

Saturday, 27 January 2024

There’s a hot race at Doncaster Racecourse in the form of the Albert Bartlett River Don Novices' Hurdle, with several horses trading at single figure betting odds and this includes Welcom to Cartries and Destroytheevidence. There are several others who could feature prominently and much comes down to which horse is able to stay the trip best.

I Love My Baie is a talented six-year-old who has secured two victories from five outings this term, with Kerryhill having also been in the winners’ enclosure this term. Ruth Jefferson will hope that her horse can run a big race, with ten runners set to go to post for an encounter which takes place over three miles, half a furlong.

2024 Albert Bartlett River Don Novices' Hurdle Tips

The Albert Bartlett River Don Novices' Hurdle takes place on Saturday and Welcom to Cartries is a six-year-old who could go off as favourite. The horse has made consecutive appearances at Ascot this term, finishing second in a Maiden Hurdle race before returning to the same track and landing a victory in the Howden Maiden Hurdle.

Destroytheevidence has won three times this season and has been raced plenty of times, with Kim Bailey’s charge likely to catch the eye of several punters. The six-year-old was second to Shanagh Bob at Cheltenham in mid-December, with previous victories occurring at Kempton Park and David Bass should give the charge a good spin here.

I Love My Baie has won on two occasions this season and the six-year-old was able to fend off three other runners at Ascot last time out, with that coming after a third-placed finish out of nine runners in a competitive race at Haydock Park. There was also a runner-up placing at Ayr and perhaps punters can get some value from an each-way bet here.

Kerryhill was fourth in the last outing, although there was a victory at Kelso back in November before finishing lower down in the same Cheltenham race in which Destroytheevidence appeared. Esprit Du Potier is a younger horse who followed back to back runner-up appearances with a win last time out.
