Accidental Bid was supposed to run in the Group One SA Derby earlier this month although that race has been bypassed and he'll now line up as favourite for the Queensland Derby. Back in his native UK, the runner finished second at enormous odds of 150/1 in a novice stakes race at Thirsk, with the horse less than a length away from victory.
More recently, there was a solid outing at Newmarket when finishing fourteenth in a big field when running in the October Auction Stakes. Chris Waller could be mob-handed for the Queensland Derby, with Providence having finished second in a field of fourteen at Randwick in mid-April. It was a solid effort in the Group 3 Frank Packer Plate, with that coming after a midfield effort at the same track in the Carbine Club Stakes and this looks like a solid each-way proposition.
