Stradbroke Handicap Betting Odds
We're counting down towards the Stradbroke Handicap, with this Eagle Farm encounter taking place on Saturday 13 June. Headley Grange could go well for trainer Joseph Pride, with the horse returning to the same course where he was able to secure a late May success. That came after a bright effort at Randwick at big odds.

However, there are any number of horses who can land a success. Jimmysstar could be a decent each-way shout and Regal Award also has plenty to recommend him. Fangirl also has strong credentials, with a clutch of horses operating at around the 14/1 mark. Another Wil, Private Eye, Splash Back and Transatlantic could all go well in this big money race.

The Stradbroke Handicap is a historic Australian race that was first run in 1890, with the runners and riders competing over 1,400 metres. Eagle Farm Racecourse hosts an encounter which has seen Headley Grange installed as favourite. The horse jumped to the head of the market after a success at the same track at the end of May.
In the Ladbrokes Kingsford Smith Cup, the Joseph Pride-trained runner was able to score a Group 1 success over six and a half furlongs. That came after an encouraging performance at Randwick. In this race, the horse finished fifth which effectively saw him outrun odds of 40/1 considering that eight other runners were beaten in the Schweppes All Aged Stakes.
In that Eagle Farm contest, Jimmysstar was a narrow second and perhaps the horse can go one better when it comes to the Stradbroke. Ciaron Maher trains a runner who also ran well at Doomben in the middle of May when finishing fourth out of fifteen horses. There was also a solid effort at Randwick although there hasn't been a recent victory of note.
Regal Award has already demonstrated the ability to win at Eagle Farm after triumphing in a big field towards the end of May. The 17/1 shot triumphed in the Fred Best Classic over seven furlongs on good to soft ground. It was a one length success, with that representing an upturn in form after flopping as the favourite in the previous two outings.
