2025 Drinmore Novice Chase Betting Odds at Fairyhouse racecourse

Sunday, 30 November 2025

There’s a two mile, four furlong tussle taking place at Fairyhouse on Sunday 30 November, with the runners and riders competing in the Drinmore Novice Chase. This is a Grade One encounter and it has attracted some star quality for the 2025 renewal. Romeo Coolio is the odds-on favourite and the six-year-old was a winner on his seasonal debut.

Perhaps there could be value backing an alternative from an each-way point-of-view. Gold Dancer has been racking up the wins for Willie Mullins and might take some beating over this distance. Ol Man Dingle has also been a consecutive winner this season and Slade Steel also can’t be discounted based on his exploits so far.

2025 Drinmore Novice Chase Betting Tips

Romeo Coolio has the bookmakers running scared when it comes to the Drinmore Novice Chase. Gordon Elliott trains a runner who produced an eye-catching recent performance at Down Royal. Sent off as the 4/6 favourite in the BetVictor Beginners Chase, the horse scored by fourteen lengths over two miles and four furlongs.

Previously to this, the horse ran well at Aintree in a Top Novices’ Hurdle when finishing second behind Salvator Mundi. There was also a solid performance when landing third in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle although a switch to the bigger obstacles would appear to be beneficial and perhaps more can be achieved here.

Ol Man Dingle has been a consecutive winner for Eoin Griffin this term, with the six-year-old scoring at Cork in early November in a Grade 3 Novice Chase. That came after a win in the previous month when obliging in a Beginners Chase race. That was over two miles and two furlongs on yielding ground, so would appreciate any rainfall approaching the off.

Gold Dancer also can’t be discounted. Willie Mullins saddles a horse who has obliged with a hat-trick of wins this term. The latest effort came at Tipperary where the 4/9 favourite was able to score by a comfortable eight lengths. This came after succeeding at Galway at the end of July where the 7/1 shot won by two lengths.

2023 Drinmore Novice Chase Tips

Letsbeclearaboutit is the shortest-priced horse to win the 2023 Drinmore Novice Chase, with the eight-year-old looking for a consecutive hat-trick of victories. There was a win against seven other runners at Gowran Park Racecourse

Found A Fifty is a talented six-year-old who will go for trainer Gordon Elliott, having achieved an eight-length win at Down Royal on 10 November. The 8/13 favourite looked to be in decent nick following some underwhelming performances at Punchestown and Aintree, with the horse eighth in the Top Novices’ Hurdle.

Sharjah is something of an old stager, with the Willie Mullins-trained runner having landed a victory at Galway in early August, while a more recent win came at Tipperary and that was a twelve-length triumph against four other contenders. The fact that the horse only finished three lengths behind Constitution Hill at Aintree is strong form.

I Am Maximus also goes for trainer Mullins, with the seven-year-old having won on his last outing in the previous season, with the horse securing a victory at Fairyhouse when beating twenty-six other horses. This was in the Irish Grand National, so stamina is unlikely to be an issue and that was over three miles and five furlongs on soft ground.
