2025 Prix Marcel Boussac Betting Odds at Longchamp racecourse

Sunday, 05 October 2025

The Prix Marcel Boussac is a Group One race that is the first of Sunday’s card at Longchamp. There are nine horses competing on good to soft ground, with Diamond Necklace running for Aidan O’Brien and aiming to land a third consecutive win. However, there could be a strong adversary in the form of Green Spirit.

The latter has racked up four consecutive victories for Christopher Head, with the two-year-old likely to be a warm order. Aylin has secured two wins from four appearances, with Narissa having landed the spoils in an opening race of the season. Ozone could be worth a watch as the horse bids for a third straight victory.

2025 Prix Marcel Boussac Betting Tips

Aidan O’Brien could have a successful Longchamp meeting and the first race of the card on Sunday looks like one he could win. Diamond Necklace began a fledgling career with a success at the Curragh in August when obliging at odds of 9/1. That victory saw the horse sent off as the short-priced favourite in a seven-furlong outing at Leopardstown.

The horse was able to ease to a victory over two lengths, with Green Spirit also boasting similarly impressive credentials. Christopher Head’s charge has been able to string together four consecutive victories. The first two of these wins were at Saint-Cloud in May and June. Then came a Group 3 triumph at Deauville to really cement her credentials.

The most recent win for Green Spirit came in the Prix d’Aumale. The 7/10 favourite was able to go well on soft ground although this might not be a two-horse race. Aylin has taken two wins of her own this term, with the latest victory coming at Doncaster in the middle of September. That was in the May Hill Stakes on good to soft ground.

We also enjoyed watching the horse oblige in a seven furlong contest at Goodwood earlier this season, although Ozone has also attracted our attention. The Ferland-trained charge steps up in class after the most recent success at Lyon Parilly, with that coming two months after a triumph at Saint-Cloud.
