2026 Satsuki Sho Betting Tips
It would come as little surprise to find Cavallerizzo landing a victory in the 2026 Satsuki Sho. The two-year-old has run well twice already and it all started with a runner-up spot at Kyoto in November. Sent off at odds of 8/5, the horse was beaten by fellow joint-favourite Admire Quads and there was only a head between the leading pair over one mile.
A month later, the runner was able to go one better at Hanshin. On 21 December, the horse was able to achieve a Grade One success in the Futurity Stakes. There was everything to like about the horse's performance in an encounter featuring fourteen in the field. Tatsuya Yoshioka trains a charge who has been installed as the short priced favourite to win.
Basse Terre could be the each-way pick in the race. The three-year-old was a recent winner at Nakayama, with that coming in the Kinen Stakes. Sent off at odds of 53/10, the horse was able to score by just under a length in a competitive race. That was over one mile and two furlongs, with the horse having lots of stamina to bring to this contest.
Green Energy is another Japanese entrant who should be able to produce a bold run. The horse was sent off at 33/10 before obliging in the Keisei Hai, with a neck helping the horse to land the spoils for trainer Yuki Uehara. Lovcen is a good alternative who produced a shock victory at odds of 188/10 at Nakayama at the end of 2025.
