2025 Horris Hill Stakes Betting Odds at Newbury racecourse

Saturday, 25 October 2025

Five of the seven runners in the Horris Hill Stakes are trading at single figure odds for the Newbury encounter on Saturday. Time To Turn is favourite for the seven-furlong showdown, although the Charlie Appleby-trained charge could only finish seventh last time out. Perhaps Pandemonium is a better option after racking up a couple of wins.

Simon & Ed Crisford saddle a horse who will put a 100% record on the line, with Stellar Sunrise having also claimed back to back successes recently. Wechaad is an interesting contender who has plenty of ability and the Roger Varian-trained runner is operating at similar odds to May Angel for what should be an intriguing encounter.

2025 Horris Hill Stakes Betting Tips

Time To Turn is an impressive performer, with the horse having hit the frame on a number of occasions this term. There was a somewhat disappointing effort at Longchamp last time out when finishing second-last in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere. However, that had been preceded by a victory at Ascot in July when winning the Pat Eddery Stakes.

This came after a facile win on the all-weather at Wolverhampton, with previously strong performances being served up at Haydock and Newbury. However, there will be some stiff competition from Pandemonium who has registered successive wins and the odds have been shortening when it comes to the Simon & Ed Crisford-trained charge.

The horse previously won at Redcar in early October after succeeding at Yarmouth, with Stellar Sunrise having also claimed the spoils in the previous two outings. The latest trip was at York where the horse was able to score in August. This came over seven furlongs and followed a success at Goodwood Racecourse in a maiden stakes race.

Wechaad has been able to land a victory in a previous showing which was the first of his career. Roger Varian saddles a horse that scored at Doncaster, with a seven-furlong success being notched in a nursery handicap. This came after finishing second at Newbury in a novice stakes. May Angel is another who could be in the shake-up for this Group 3 contest.
