2024 All-Weather 3 Year Old Championships
Fire Demon is the horse that currently heads the betting market for the All-Weather 3 Year Old Championships Handicap, with the Andrew Balding-trained charge bidding for his third victory of what has been a successful season. His latest act was to fend off nine other rivals to secure a win in a handicap race on the all-weather at Kempton Park.
On that occasion, he was able to win by a length and a quarter over Media Shooter, with the horse bouncing back from a somewhat disappointing performance at Lingfield when finishing fifth out of seven places. Previously to this, there was a success against eight other runners at Kempton at the beginning of the year.
Sommelier was second in his previous showing, with the horse finishing runner-up on the all-weather at Newcastle. There was only half a length separating him from Blue Prince, with this coming after a victory on the all-weather at Kempton in November. There was also a previous success at Chelmsford which means the runner has to be respected.
However, it could be Blue Prince that emerges to land a victory. The three-year-old ran at Lingfield at the start of March when finishing second behind Photosynthesis. This came after finishing third out of five runners at Lingfield at the beginning of February, with that New Year’s Day triumph at Lingfield coming before that.
2023 All-Weather 3 Year Old Championships Tips
The talkSPORT All-Weather 3 Year Old Championships Conditions Stakes takes place on Friday 7 April, with Shouldvebeenaring heading the betting and the three-year-old has performed well in recent outings. Despite finishing fifth in the Spring Cup Stakes at Lingfield a month ago, the horses all landed in a heap on that occasion.
There was previously a win at Southwell towards the end of January and the runner stands as good a chance as any of landing the spoils, although some will look towards the bigger-priced horses. Shaquille will return to the track after a 125-day lay-off, with a victory at Wolverhampton occurring in early December when obliging as the 2/1 favourite.
The horse had previously landed the spoils at York over six furlongs in early October, with this taking place on good to soft ground. Therefore, it could be an attractive bet for a third consecutive win, although Perdika will benefit from carrying less weight. The George Boughey-trained runner was on target at Chantilly last time out.
The runner won the Prix Ronde de Nuit in France over five and a half furlongs, with the horse having had a mixed bag of things during her runs at Meydan, with the horse scoring in early December last year when landing a victory on the all-weather at Kempton Park, with that coming after a succession of other wins.
