2023 bet365 Gold Cup Tips
Christian Williams saddled Kitty’s Light to a success in the 2023 Scottish Grand National last weekend and the horse might make a swift return to the track to compete in the bet365 Gold Cup. It remains to be seen whether the runner will have been able to recover in time to produce a strong performance although the seven-year-old can’t be discounted.
The horse was able to secure a three-length win over four miles when being sent off as the 4/1 joint-favourite, with this coming after a handicap chase victory at Newcastle, with Revels Hill next in the market and Harry Fry certainly has a talented prospect on his hands. The eight-year-old has been knocking on the door a lot this season.
This horse was last seen running at Exeter towards the end of March, with the 3/1 favourite beaten into second by Coolvalla over three miles, six and a half furlongs, although the horse also ran well in a handicap chase at Ascot in a large field and it would come as no surprise to see this runner make the frame once again.
Annsam has displayed some impressive form and the latest success came at Ludlow in a seven-runner race. That was a two length win in early April and there was previously a success in mid January at Kempton which means the horse has serious credentials. That win came by seventeen lengths although the handicapper has had his way since then.
