2024 Scilly Isles Novices' Chase Tips
The Scilly Isles Novices' Chase features prominently on the Sandown racecard this coming Saturday, with seven runners set to line up to compete over two miles and four furlongs. Hermes Allen could set the benchmark in this race, with the horse having won a race at Newbury back in December before finishing second out of six at Kempton.
Emmet Mullins has Corbetts Cross lining up for this horse race, with the seven-year-old having posted three top three finishes this season. Having finished third out of nine runners at Naas, the runner was then able to land a victory at Fairyhouse against a dozen competitors. Then came a second-placed finished behind Grangeclare West at Leopardstown.
Djelo enjoyed three successive wins before falling in his most recent outing. After securing wins at Aintree, Newbury and Ascot, the runner went tumbling at a very early stage of proceedings. It wouldn’t come as a big surprise if the horse was able to deliver again here and the racing odds suggest that there’s a good chance of it happening.
Le Patron has been able to rack up three successive wins and trainer Gary Moore scored at Fontwell in October before following this up with a brace of victories at Sandown. There was a ten-length triumph in November against three other runners before winning on heavy ground at the beginning of December.

Previously to this, there was a win in the Irish National Hunt Steeplechase Committee Beginners Chase over two miles and five furlongs, although this will be a sterner test and Monmiral looks capable of a big race. The Paul Nicholls runner has to be respected after finishing second to Epatante in the Betway Aintree Hurdle back in April.
Since then, the horse then finished a distant second behind Jonbon at Warwick Racecourse before a solid run in the Paddy Power Novices’ Chase at Cheltenham when beaten by The Real Whacker. However, some each-way punters will instead by looking at Balco Coastal and Nicky Henderson will be encouraged by his most recent outing.
Having been sent off as the joint-favourite for a Handicap Chase at Kempton Park over two miles, four-and-a-half furlongs, he was able to record a nine-length victory on Boxing Day and has to be respected after that performance. He was also solid enough when finishing third in the Aintree Handicap Hurdle.
