Gilded Prize has caught our eye based on a couple of smart performances this season, with Francis-Henri Graffard saddling a runner who began the campaign with a victory on the all-weather. In the Prix du Val Saint-Georges, the horse was able to run on well at Chantilly to win over one mile, one and a half furlongs to land the spoils.
The horse then acquitted herself equally as well at Saint-Cloud, scoring as the even money favourite in the Henri Matisse Coolmore Prix Cleopatre. That was a Group 3 encounter over one mile, two and a half furlongs, with the horse making all in that race. We can forgive an under-par performance in the Camille Pissarro Coolmore Prix Saint-Alary last time out.
Legacy Link is a top-class runner who goes for John & Thady Gosden, with the horse producing two strong efforts this season. There was a victory at York in the middle of May where the 6/4 favourite was able to oblige over a mile, two and a half furlongs. More recently, there was a strong effort in the Betfred Oaks.
That saw the filly beaten into second by Thundering On, although there was still plenty to like about the way that the mare came through to challenge hard in the run-in. Earth Shot could also be a prime contender and the William Haggas-trained runner hasn't been out of the first two this season, with Johanna Walsh another one for the shortlist.
