2025 Sagaro Stakes Betting Odds at Ascot racecourse

Wednesday, 30 April 2025

We’ve got a Gold Cup trial taking place at Ascot Racecourse on Wednesday, with the runners and riders competing over two miles. Coltrane returns for a seasonal debut and the horse is the odds-on favourite to land a victory. Andrew Balding’s eight-year-old is certainly the one to beat, although some might want to oppose the runner.

Divine Comedy finished second on a seasonal debut and Harry Eustace trains a runner who is carrying three pounds less than the market leader. Yashin is trading at a much bigger price and the six-year-old has shown promise in previous encounters. Feigning Madness is the younger adversary who is regarded as the outsider of the four.

2025 Sagaro Stakes Betting Tips

Coltrane is the odds-on favourite to win the Sagaro Stakes at Ascot Racecourse. The last time we saw the horse perform was at Longchamp back in October. It was an impressive showing over two miles and four furlongs, with the horse only two lengths behind massive favourite Kyprios. Considering the runner was sent off at 23/1, it was a solid achievement.

Indeed, Coltrane has been running in esteemed company and there was also a decent showing in the Doncaster Cup Stakes back in September. The horse was able to perform well at odds of 11/1, with the runner going well over two miles and two furlongs. A fourth-placed finish came out of six runners and there was only four lengths separating him from the front.

Divine Comedy is a seven-year-old finished as runner-up last time out. Harry Eustace trained a runner who was able to finish second out of four horses at Nottingham. This came over one mile and six furlongs, with a really impressive outing coming in the Irish Cesarewitch when finishing tenth out of a field of thirty runners.

Yashin has plenty to prove for Michael Bell and returns to the track after a long absence. The six-year-old might find the two mile trip a little on the stiff side and he returns after wind surgery. This came after previously finishing sixth at Leopardstown in a field of ten runners, with that coming after a disappointing showing at York.
