Abashiri runs for Charlie Appleby in the 2026 Belmont Oaks, with the Godolphin runner operating as the short-priced favourite to win. There was an odds-on success at Kempton on the all-weather back in November. Then came a solid outing in the 1000 Guineas where the filly was able to secure fifth place when finishing four lengths off the pace.
The mare then headed to the Curragh, with a strong effort coming in the Irish 1000 Guineas where the 6/1 chance was able to hit the frame. Precise and True Love were the only horses to finish ahead of Abashiri and she now looks like the standout contender in the field. We're happy to take a chance on the horse at a short price.
Fitz Right is a quality horse operating at a bigger price. Chad C Brown has seen his filly rack up successes at Aqueduct and Saratoga. The former was in the Memories Of Silver Stakes as the 7/5 favourite where a three and a half length success was enjoyed. There was then a latter success where a Grade 2 victory was enjoyed by a length.
Faithful Departed runs for Grant T Forster, with the latest success coming at Churchill Downs at the end of May. Over a mile and a furlong, the horse was able to land a victory by over two lengths in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes. That came after a commendable effort in the Appalachian Stakes where a midfield effort was achieved at big odds.
