2025 Paddy Power Intermediate Handicap Hurdle Betting Tips
The Paddy Power Intermediate Handicap Hurdle will feature a big field and any number of horses are in with a chance of success. Jurancon is an obvious place to start, with the horse having enjoyed a successful previous season. The six-year-old scored at Newbury at the beginning of March and this came after a January success at the same track.
Royal Infantry has ran more recently, with Dan Skelton training a six-year-old who was able to finish third out of fourteen runners at Chepstow Racecourse. That was over two miles, three and a half furlongs, with the horse previously finishing runner-up at Perth at big odds of 14/1. There was also a solid showing at Aintree.
French Ship was a faller on a seasonal debut although the five-year-old was able to bounce back with a success last time out. The runner lined up in a big field at Cheltenham and that came over two miles and four furlongs. That was a four length success and there was also a facile triumph at Taunton over two miles and three in January.
Kap Boy is a six-year-old who runs for Olly Murphy, with the horse able to score at Perth in October. That was a seven-length win as the 11/8 favourite in a handicap hurdle. That came after landing a runner-up spot at Ffos Las, with the 6/5 favourite able to produce a strong performance before being narrowly touched off.

Champagne Twist makes his seasonal debut on Saturday when lining up at Cheltenham and it’s easy to see the horse performing well. Ben Pauling trains a six-year-old who was able to win at Sandown and Doncaster last season before achieving a midfield finish in the competitive William Hill Handicap Hurdle at Aintree.
Dan Skelton has a couple of lively runners against the field, with Doyen Quest having finished second last time out. That was a solid performance out of seventeen runners, with the 4/1 favourite running well in the Silver Trophy at Chepstow. Back in April, there was a victory in the Kingston Stud Handicap Hurdle.
Major Fortune is his stablemate and another viable contender when you consider some of his previous performances. There was a victory at Newton Abbot last time out and the horse also achieved a tremendous strike rate earlier in the year. This included a succession of wins at Lingfield before a runner-up spot at Ayr.
Plaisir Des Flos has an unblemished recent track record and there’s plenty more to come from a horse who was successful at Carlisle towards the end of October. Previously to that, there were four consecutive victories which came at Sedgefield, Wincanton, Ayr and Perth, with Wyenot also a potential contender based on recent form.
