2025 Railway Stakes Betting Odds at Curragh racecourse

Saturday, 19 July 2025

We’re looking forward to an exciting Railway Stakes encounter this weekend and there are at least five of the eight runners who can make an impression. The market has an odds-on favourite and True Love has solid credentials, although some will want to look beyond this horse in search of a bigger-priced selection and Flushing Meadows ticks a lot of boxes.

These two-year-olds could be battling it out in the run-in, although Learntodiscover was able to secure a victory last time out. The bookies also think that Power Blue and Puerto Rico could be contending, with the latter also trained by Aidan O’Brien. However, it all comes down to whether True Love can deliver the goods as favourite.

2025 Railway Stakes Betting Tips

True Love is the odds-on favourite to win the GAIN Railway Stakes although the two-year-old has only won one of his three encounters so far. The latest effort was a victory at Royal Ascot last term where the runner was able to fend off twenty-two other horses. That came in the Queen Mary Stakes where the 9/4 favourite won a five furlong encounter.

That came after a disappointing effort at Navan in May, with the odds-on favourite unable to oblige in a maiden race over six furlongs. Flushing Meadows is the market leader’s stablemate, although the runner was unable to oblige as the 2/9 favourite in the recent Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh. Previously to this, there was a victory at the same Irish track.

Learntodiscover could be the next best option, with the horse last seen landing a victory in a maiden race at the Curragh. Beating favourite Puerto Rico was a fantastic achievement, with that coming over six furlongs on good ground. The latter will also line up here and might be capable of making an impression since that previous disappointing performance.

Power Blue has had plenty of experience for a two-year-old, with the horse running well in the recent Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. The horse ran well in this Group 2 encounter over six furlongs, with the runner leading with two furlongs remaining before getting swallowed up. Previously to this, the charge was second out of six in the GAIN Marble Hill Stakes.
