2026 Memorial Handicap Chase Betting Odds at Fairyhouse racecourse

Saturday, 10 January 2026

There are thirteen runners set to go to post in the Memorial Handicap Chase, with Fairyhouse Racecourse hosting an encounter over two miles and one furlong. Touch Me Not heads the market for Gordon Elliott and has produced some encouraging runs this term. However, some might prefer the chances of Drumgill who won on a last appearance.

Inthepocket has plenty to prove after a fall on a seasonal debut was followed by a fifth-placed finish last term, with Western Diego trading at a similar price. This is one of several Willie Mullins-trained runners and he also has Blood Destiny who has been hitting the frame on a regular basis. However, the latter is the top-weighted horse in the race.

Touch Me Not is a talented horse who could be decent value at 7/2. Gordon Elliott saddles a seven-year-old who was second at Fairyhouse last time out. This was in a field of twelve horses where the 5/1 shot was able to run well over two miles and one furlong. Drumgill was the winner on that occasion and that came after a disappointing effort at Navan.

Drumgill has a pound advantage over Touch Me Not and the John Patrick Ryan-trained charge could be the better value alternative. The runner hasn't been out of the first three in the previous three occasions, with the seven-year-old looking like an each-way bet to nothing. At this age, there is definite scope for improvement compared to the older charges.

Inthepocket is a nine-year-old with plenty to prove. The Henry de Bromhead-trained runner was a faller on a seasonal debut at Naas over two miles on soft ground. There was then an underwhelming performance at Navan in December when achieving a midfield finish, with the horse struggling to rediscover the sort of bright form that has previously been on show.

Willie Mullins has plenty of runners and their best chances are Western Diego and Blood Destiny. The former finished third last time out when performing well at Fairyhouse, with that coming after a decent effort at Punchestown. The latter was last seen enjoying a solid outing at Gowran Park in October, with that coming after a bright display at Galway.
