2023 Coral Handicap Tips
Amleto is a talented three-year-old who heads the betting for the Coral Handicap on Day Two of the Glorious Goodwood meeting. William Haggas trains a runner who has not been seen since winning a Maiden Stakes at Chester Racecourse in May, with the horse obliging over one mile, two and a half furlongs. The runner might be favourably handicapped here.
Westerton has been in impressive form this season and the three-year-old finished third in a handicap race at Newmarket last time out over one mile and two furlongs. Previously to this, there was a win in the Darley British EBF Maiden Stakes over the same distance. There was also second place in the Carey Group Handicap at Ascot.
Fox Journey has bagged two wins from four outings this season, with a victory coming at Newbury Racecourse in July. Sent off as the 11/4 favourite, the runner was able to oblige over one mile and four furlongs. The horse previously fluffed his lines as market leader when running over the same distance at Pontefract on 25 June.
Tagabawa was underwhelming when finishing well down the order at Newmarket, with the Charlie Appleby-trained runner having finished in the King George V Stakes and that featured nineteen runners for that heritage handicap encounter. French Invasion and Struth are other contenders who could also be in the final reckoning.
