2025 William Hill Handicap Betting Odds at Goodwood racecourse

Friday, 02 May 2025

There are a number of horses who can win the William Hill Handicap on Friday when the runners and riders line up in the Goodwood showdown. This is a five furlong dash and Completely Random could be the horse to beat. Harry Charlton’s horse has been in good form recently, although Dream Composer is another interesting contender.

There are a wide range of horses trading at single figures, with Shagraan returning for a seasonal debut and Enchanting is also not without a chance for Andrew Balding. Toca Madera was second recently and the four-year-old could have bold claims, while literally every horse in the field has a chance to finish in the frame.

2025 William Hill Handicap Betting Tips

Completely Random was a solid winner at Leicester towards the end of April and looks set to go well in the William Hill Handicap. Harry Charlton will be confident of his charge performing in this short-distance encounter, with this coming after a triumph on the all-weather at Southwell a few weeks earlier.

Shagraan is another four-year-old with solid claims, with the horse last seen finishing ninth out of twenty-two runners at Doncaster. This was in the Betfred Portland and this came after a win in a handicap race at Haydock Park. There was also a solid showing at York in the Symphony Group Handicap at the Knavesmire.

Dream Composer has the potential to go well for trainer James Evans. The seven-year-old as runner-up in his latest outing, with that coming at Pontefract at the beginning of April. This was something of a return to form after the horse finished dead last at Ascot back in October. Perhaps Enchanting is a better each-way alternative.

Andrew Balding will expect a bright showing from his charge although there was an underwhelming performance at York in October. That came after a bright display at Goodwood where the horse was actually able to land a victory. Toca Madera was second last time out and the four-year-old could well be in the final shake-up.
