2025 Rose of Lancaster Stakes Betting Tips
Nahraan has been producing some eye-catching performances this season. The horse was sent off as the 10/11 favourite at Hamilton, with this success coming in the Glasgow Stakes where the horse edged out Arabian Force by a nose. This came after a June success at Windsor, with that following a Wolverhampton triumph in a Novice Stakes race.
Haatem is another viable contender, with Richard Hannon saddling a horse who has made four outings this term. Last time out, the horse was third out of six runners at Ascot and this came after a victory at the royal meeting. That came in the Wolferton Stakes and there’s also the experience of an outing at Longchamp.
Detain has made four appearances this term and this is another John & Thady Gosden-trained charge. However, the horse failed to make an impression at Royal Ascot and that was despite being sent off at odds of 3/1. This came in the Hampton Court Stakes although there had previously been a strong showing in the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly.
Royal Dubai produced an excellent performance when winning last time out, with that victory coming at Newbury in July. The horse was able to land the spoils by a length, with this coming in the Steventon Stakes and that came after a fifth-placed finish out of eight runners. That was in the Betfred Diomed Stakes where the horse failed towards the end of the encounter.
2023 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes Tips
We’re looking forward to the Betfred Rose Of Lancaster Stakes and the majority of the field have a lively chance of securing a victory. The Group 3 contest will be run over one mile, two and a half furlongs, with Al Aasy the one that could take all the beating. Last time out, the horse won the bet365 Stakes at Newbury when obliging at odds of 100/30.
The horse’s seasonal debut was vastly disappointing after finishing dead last in a five-runner field, with Al Aasy having won the Buckhounds Stake at Ascot last year and could be coming back to some form now. King Of Conquest has racked up three wins this season before finishing sixth in the Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot.
In May, King Of Conquest won the William Hill Festival Stakes after triumphing in the Howden Suffolk Stakes. Savvy Victory was in the winners’ enclosure at Sandown Park when winning the Gala Stakes on 7 July, with that coming after the horse made no impression at betting odds of 100/1 in the Wolferton Stakes.
Embesto was successful at Yarmouth and Doncaster this season and the three-year-old then finished second in the Henry Cecil Stakes at Newmarket when finishing three lengths behind favourite Nostrum. Phantom Flight was only one and a half lengths behind Al Aasy in the bet365 Stakes at Newbury and perhaps this horse is good each-way value.
