2023 Coral Racing Club Handicap Chase Tips
Enrilo is undoubtedly a talented horse although the big question is whether the nine-year-old can stay on his feet long enough to win a race. The runner was sent off at betting odds of 4/1 in a recent Handicap Chase at Wincanton and actually led the encounter before falling. It’s not the first time this has happened and there’s a nagging doubt that a series of failed performances could have a bearing.
We know that the horse has pedigree and the same applies to Annsam, although the horse has failed to get close to a victory in his two outings this season. The runner finished eighth in the Bateaux London Gold Cup Handicap Chase over three miles, while there was an improved showing when landing sixth place in the Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase.
Danny Kirwan has enjoyed back-to-back second places this season, with the latest of these runner-up spots coming in the Bateaux London Gold Cup Handicap Chase. Only two lengths separated Our Power and this horse in the final shake-up, with favourite Tea Clipper beaten into third place.
Smarty Wild is also prominent in the betting for this race and there was a credible third-placed finish in a Handicap Chase at Kempton Racecourse, with the horse sent off as the 20/1 outsider in an encounter which was won by Remastered. Previously to this, there was a second-placed finish at Ascot.
