2025 Prix Chaudenay Betting Odds at Longchamp racecourse

Saturday, 04 October 2025

The Qatar Prix Chaudenay is one of the highlight races on the Longchamp card this Saturday. Despite failing to win any of the previous three encounters, Stay True is regarded as the one to beat. The bookies expect the Aidan O’Brien-trained horse to take all the beating, although Espoir Avenir could land a victory for the home team.

Joseph O’Brien has Tennessee Stud running and some will want to back this horse from an each-way perspective. The same trainer has Emit with a lively chance and it’s Aidan who saddles Swagman in this race. The going is soft, so much comes down to which horse handles the ground best over one mile and seven furlongs.

2025 Prix Chaudenay Betting Tips

We’ve got a one mile seven furlong encounter at Longchamp on Saturday in the form of the Qatar Prix Chaudenay. This lunchtime race features Stay True as the short-priced market leader, with the horse finishing third out of seven runners at Doncaster last time out. It was a solid effort in the St Leger Stakes after a previous outing at York.

When it came to the latter, the Aidan O’Brien-trained charge finished fourth in a field of seven in the Great Voltigeur Stakes. That was a Group 2 affair over one mile and four furlongs, with the bookies thinking this runner has the strongest credentials. However, some might prefer Espoir Avenir at a bigger price from an each-way perspective.

The Ferland-trained charge was successful at Longchamp last time out, with the horse obliging at massive odds of 35/1 in a Group 3 encounter. There was everything to like about the runner’s performance in the Prix Gerald de Geoffre on very soft ground, with that coming after a solid outing at Deauville when finishing fourth out of eleven horses.

Tennessee Stud has produced some smart efforts this term, with Joseph O’Brien having previously seen his horse finish fourth in the Qatar Prix Niel. That was over one mile and four furlongs on 7 September, with the runner previously mustering a decent effort in the Irish Derby at the Curragh on 29 June.
