We always enjoy the BAR 1 Betting Leinster National Handicap Chase and it's all about which horse boasts the best jumping ability and stamina. Bioluminescence runs for Gavin Cromwell and has put up some solid performances this season, with Uhavemeinstitches another JP McManus-owned runner who is near the top of the market.

Now Is The Hour is another Cromwell-trained charge who was in the winners' enclosure last time out, with the nine-year-old operating at similar odds to High Class Hero. This is one of several Willie Mullins-trained charges aiming to land the prize money. Quai De Bourbon, Captain Cody and Blizzard Of Oz might also line up for the Irish handler.

Bioluminescence has run three times and the latest effort came at Naas in early February. On heavy ground over two miles, the horse did well to finish eleven lengths behind hot favourite Dinoblue. This came after a solid effort at Aintree where the runner finished eighth out of thirteen runners in the Becher Handicap Chase over the big obstacles.

JP McManus could be in the winners' enclosure at Naas with another runner in the form of Uhavemeinstitches. The six-year-old was a game runner in the above race at Naas and this came after a third-placed finish at Limerick in a field of seven. There was also a second-placed effort at Fairyhouse on yielding to soft ground.

Higher up in the handicap is Now Is The Hour. Gavin Cromwell saw his runner finish first in the last outing when the nine-year-old handled conditions best of all at Gowran Park. Seventeen other runners were beaten as the horse claimed the spoils over three miles and one furlong, with this success coming on very testing ground.

High Class Hero represents Willie Mullins' best chance of achieving success in this race. This is the top weighted horse who produced a solid runner-up effort at Punchestown towards the end of November. That was on soft to heavy ground over two miles, five and a half furlongs, with this coming before being pulled up at Gowran Park in late January.
