2024 Shaker Handicap Hurdle Betting Odds at Newbury racecourse

Saturday, 30 November 2024

Most of the twelve runners lining up for the Coral 'Daily Rewards Shaker' Handicap Hurdle have a chance of recording a victory. Impose Toi is one of the horses making a seasonal debut at Newbury on Saturday, with the six-year-old having landed a couple of notable wins last season, although there are other prime contenders for this race.

Inthewaterside also has decent claims and could represent a good each-way bet, with Paul Nicholls saddling a horse who was in the winners’ enclosure last term. Guard The Moon has raced three times this season and is marginally ahead of Lac De Constance in the betting, with the latter having fallen last time out.

Impose Toi ran well at Kempton last time out, with the horse finishing third out of nineteen horses back in January. That came after another solid performance at Ascot in December when the runner was second to Luccia in the Betfair Exchange Trophy. The horse was rock solid when previously triumphing at Cheltenham as the 2/1 favourite.

There could also be more to come from Inthewaterside who was last seen finishing third out of nineteen runners at Aintree. That was in the William Hill Handicap Hurdle over two miles and four furlongs, with that coming after a runner-up performance at Ascot. There was previously a success at Lingfield in the Winter Million Novices’ Handicap Hurdle.

Guard The Moon has been successful twice already this season, with Nigel Twiston-Davies saddling a horse who was second in the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle at Aintree last time out, with this performance coming after a two mile five furlong success at Warwick. There was previously a success at Hexham.

Lac De Constance was a faller last time out and the eight-year-old will hope to put a cleaner performance over the jumps this time around, with Anyharminasking having run well this season and the seven-year-old has the potential to build on a third-placed finish last time around. Isaam was able to finish fourth in his previous showing.
