2024 King Charles II Stakes Tips
The King Charles II Stakes will feature eight runners, with five of them trading at single figure odds. This is a seven furlong encounter where Boiling Point is regarded as the one to beat, with Roger Varian training a horse that finished second behind Ten Bob Tony at Newmarket recently, with the runner having previously run well at the same track in September.
Bold Style was narrowly behind Boiling Point at Newmarket last time out and the three-year-old could be a good each-way selection this time around, with the horse having claimed a victory on the all-weather at Chelmsford in December. William Buick will be on board a Godolphin horse that could take some beating.
Alaskan Gold was fifth in his previous race and some will be considering this runner from an each-way point-of-view. It was a competitive encounter at Newbury where the horse was able to put on a decent showing, performing well over seven furlongs in the Greenham Stakes which was a Group 3 encounter.
Indian Run makes his seasonal debut and is trading at a backable each-way price, with the horse bidding to bounce back from a disappointing showing at Newmarket. On that occasion, the runner found the pace too hot to handle in the Dewhurst Stakes although there were previously victories at York and Ascot.

Majestic Pride was a recent winner at Newmarket and he will now return to the same racecourse bidding to score another success. He could be well suited to the seven furlong trip after previously winning over the same distance when being sent off as the 2/1 favourite on soft ground, with Charlie Appleby’s charge securing a victory by a neck.
Shouldvebeenaring has failed to land a victory in his previous three outings, with the Richard Hannon-trained charge having finished third in the bet365 Handicap over six furlongs at Newmarket racecourse. At odds of 11/1, it was a credible outing which rewarded each-way backers but a lack of wins might be a concern.
Iconic Moment is trained by James Tate, with the horse being sent off as the 5/2 favourite in a conditions stakes on the all-weather at Chelmsford. That was on 1 April where the runner finished fourth and there was previously a victory in the Spring Cup Stakes on the all-weather at Lingfield Racecourse, with Arabian Storm another potential contender.
Andrew Balding will have high hopes that his three-year-old can run into the places at Newmarket, with the horse disappointing on the all-weather at Newcastle last time out. Having flattered to deceive in the Burradon Stakes, the runner has plenty to prove this time around and it could be worth looking at the bigger-priced runners for this one.
