Champion National Hunt Flat Race Results at Punchestown — 01 May 2026

Friday, 01 May 2026

There are several horses trading at single figure racing odds to win the Punchestown Champion I.N.H. Flat Race, with Jasmin De Vaux trading at the shortest price to win this encounter. The five-year-old has enjoyed a couple of victories this season, with Willie Mullins saddling a runner who could well be in the places.

However, Gordon Elliott could have a lively contender in the form of Romeo Coolio, with Jalon D'oudairies also from the same stable and there could be a strong showing from this charge. Barry Connell has William Munny and the six-year-old achieved a couple of recent successes along with Harbour Highway.

2024 Champion I.N.H. Flat Race Tips

Jasmin De Vaux has run really well this season, with the five-year-old boasting an unbeaten record coming into this race. The horse won the Champion Bumper at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival when achieving a two-length victory and that success came after a win at Naas in January when fending off eleven other horses.

Romeo Coolio was second in the Bumper and achieved this placing at a big price, with the horse having won at Fairyhouse when sent off as even money favourite in the middle of January. Perhaps the better Gordon Elliott-trained runner comes in the form of Jalon D'oudairies and the five-year-old has won twice this season.

The horse was third in the Champion Bumper when sent off as the 3/1 favourite and has the potential to build on this placing here, while there was previously a success at Leopardstown when the runner claimed a victory during the festive season on soft to heavy ground, with the runner triumphing at Fairyhouse in early December.

William Munny has secured back to back successes this season, with the Barry Connell-trained runner having landed a win when fending off Fleur In The Park at Naas in February, with this coming after a January success at Navan. Harbour Highway could be the one that merits an each-way wager at slightly bigger odds.
