2024 Silver Trophy Handicap Betting Odds at Ripon racecourse

Saturday, 17 August 2024

There is a competitive line-up for the William Hill Silver Trophy Handicap over six furlongs, with Flowstate having finished in the first two in all three races this season. The three-year-old could be set to run well, although there are several other runners who are available at similar prices and this includes Fortamour who has registered three victories this term.

Kings Merchant has also been in the winners enclosure a number of times this season and could be able to run well for Edward Bethell, with Ray Vonn having clocked up consecutive wins and the four-year-old is capable of going well at a decent price. Another Baar has been victorious last time out and there could be more to come.

2024 Silver Trophy Handicap Tips

Flowstate has been regularly providing solid performances this season, with the three-year-old having finished second out of six runners at Ripon last time out. Having been sent off as the 5/6 favourite, the horse was the runner-up over six furlongs towards the end of July, with the charge having achieved the same placing at Doncaster on soft ground.

There’s definitely a case for Fortamour and the eight-year-old has been able to clock up a couple of victories this season. Ben Haslam trains a runner who was able to record a win at Ripon Racecourse in early August, with the horse previously finishing third out of twelve horses. There could be an opportunity to build on previously encouraging performances at Ripon.

Kings Merchant is a talented three-year-old who has clocked up three wins this season, with Edward Bethell saddling a horse who looks to be a backable each-way price. The latest outing saw the charge narrowly finish second to Fortamour after winning a seven-runner race at Doncaster when triumphing by a short head.

Ray Vonn can’t be disregarded after a couple of smart victories, with the four-year-old registering a win in a field of eighteen horses. Sent off at odds of 11/1, the runner was able to oblige by half a length, with a triumph coming at Nottingham in May when Jack Gilligan was able to ride the horse to a success.
