2026 Golden Slipper Betting Tips
Paradoxium currently heads the betting market for the Golden Slipper and there have been some impressive efforts so far. The latest victory came in early March at Randwick where the 8/5 favourite was able to oblige over six furlongs. Previously to this, Bjorn Baker saddled the runner to a December success at Wyong over a shorter distance and perhaps we'll see a consecutive hat-trick of wins.
Chayan is saddled by Annabel and Rob Archibald, with the horse outrunning massive odds of 50/1 to finish second in a competitive race at Caulfield. Two weeks later, the runner returned to the track to achieve a midfield finish although it was the latest effort which caught the eye. A six-furlong effort at Randwick saw the horse claim a three-length success.
Then there is Warwoven who is another runner in the Bjorn Baker stable. There was everything to like about the horse's efforts in the TAB Pago Pago Stakes. Sent off at 17/10 in a Group 3 race, the runner was able to oblige by a length. This was a considerable improvement on a fourth-placed effort at Randwick at the end of February.
2023 Golden Slipper Betting Tips
Cylinder has run some fantastic races this year, with the Godolphin horse having won the Fujitsu General Silver Slipper Stakes at Rosehill on 18 February which is a fantastic pointer when it comes to the Golden Slipper race. The runner triumphed at odds of 18/5 when enjoying a half a length victory and that was over five and a half furlongs.
More recently, Cylinder was able to oblige with another narrow win when landing the spoils in the UNSW Todman Stakes and that was over six furlongs on good to soft ground. It was a victory by just under a length and it’s clear that this horse will take all the beating, although Learning to Fly is a tasty runner who has also been impressing.
Annabel Neasham could have a potential two-year-old superstar on her hands considering that there has been a hat-trick of wins leading up to the Golden Slipper and we might well see the runner shorten in the market. There was a victory in the Widden Stakes which was a Group 2 contest and this filly then took this form and claimed a further two impressive wins.
The same horse won the Inglis Millennium at Randwick on 11 February and there was a further success when securing the spoils in the Yarraman Park Reisling Stakes on 4 March 2023, with the manner of this victory proving somewhat narrow. There is clearly a competitive field lining up and Red Resistance might be capable of franking the form.
