Coral Distaff 2026 Betting Odds

Saturday 4 July 2026 · Sandown Park · By Matthew Glazier

There are fifteen runners set to go to post in the Coral Distaff, with the betting market wide open for this Sandown Park encounter. Blue Bolt has racked up a couple of successes this term and could well go off as favourite to land a victory. Andrew Balding’s charge might be the one to beat although every horse is backable from an each-way point-of-view.

Tabiti was third on his seasonal debut, with Kon Tiki having won twice in three outings this term. Jane Chapple-Hyam saddles this runner, with Pina Sonata bidding to make it a third consecutive success for James Fanshawe. Victory Queen can also be considered and Charlie Appleby’s horse has experience that winning feeling twice this term.

2025 Coral Distaff Betting Tips

Blue Bolt was able to score at Newbury Racecourse last time out. Sent off at odds of 6/4, she was able to oblige over a mile and that came after scoring at Windsor. Andrew Balding saddles a runner who will now aim to make it three wins on the bounce. Tabiti is another interesting contender and the horse was third in a previous showing.

That came at Royal Ascot and it was a credible achievement to hit the frame in a field of twenty-five runners. The horse was sent off at 18/1 in the Sandringham Stakes, with the runner following home other outsiders in the form of Never Let Go and Cajole. However, Kon Tiki looks really interesting from an each-way point-of-view.

There was a seventh-placed finish out of eleven runners at Royal Ascot in the Coronation Stakes, with the horse unable to make an impression over the one mile course. That came after a success at York in mid-May and there was plenty to like about the performance in the Sky Bet Fillies’ Stakes, with that coming after an all-weather Kempton Park success.

Pina Sonata has racked up a couple of wins this season, with James Fanshawe training a horse who comes into the race after consecutive successes at Wolverhampton and Leicester. The former was achieved at the end of April before returning to the Midlands a month later when the 8/13 favourite was able to win by three lengths.

2024 Coral Distaff Tips

Soprano is favourite to win the 2024 Coral Distaff, with the horse having produced a fine performance to land a victory at the Royal Ascot meeting. In a field of thirty runners, there was a 14/1 triumph when edging outsider Strutting, with the horse obliging over a mile in the Sandringham Stakes when running an excellent race.

Clove Hitch was victorious on a previous showing, with the horse claiming a win when being sent off as the 4/6 favourite at Newbury in a Fillies’ Novice Stakes, with this coming after finishing second at Windsor when running against eleven other runners. There was also a third-placed finish out of seventeen horses at Newbury.

Kitty Rose has been seen running twice this season, finishing second on her seasonal debut when narrowly missing out at Leopardstown over seven furlongs. This came before a fifth-placed finish in the Sandringham Stakes at Ascot where the runner was sent off as the 7/2 favourite, with Sean Levey on board this talented horse.

Regal Jubilee has registered two runner-up placings this season, with the latest performance coming at Goodwood. Over one mile and two furlongs, there was a solid showing after the filly finding things too hot to handle in the 1000 Guineas Stakes, although there could be a higher placing this time around.

2023 Coral Distaff Tips

The bookmakers are taking no chances with their quote about Coppice winning this encounter, with the three-year-old having been in impressive form this season. Last time out, the runner was steered to victory by Frankie Dettori in the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot as the 6/1 joint-favourite. Perhaps we’ll see a similar performance here.

The winning feeling started in a Novice Stakes at Newcastle when a facile victory was achieved on the all-weather, although that one length win at Ascot really was laying down a marker, with Breege finishing second on that occasion and perhaps the horse is primed to run another strong race at Sandown Park this weekend.

Silver Lady runs in the Godolphin colours and has been shown plenty of respect, with Charlie Appleby seeing his runner finishing third in the Oaks Farm Stable Fillies’ Stakes when being sent off as the 2/1 favourite although it was a close encounter over one mile. This came after a winner in the Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Newmarket.

Breege could come on leaps and bounds, with only one length separating the horse from Coppice in that previous race. Let’s not forget that the horse ran a credible race when finishing seventh in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and the runner was sent off at 50/1 on that occasion after some bright form at Longchamp at October.
