2026 NHK Mile Cup Betting Tips
We're looking forward to the 2026 NHK Mile Cup, with Diamond Knot emerging as the favourite to land a victory. Back in December, there was a second-placed effort in a one-mile encounter in Hanshin. That was in the Grade One Futurity Stakes after the horse performed really well to win the Keio Hai Nisai Stakes at Tokyo Racecourse.
Cavallerizzo actually won the Hai Futurity Stakes and perhaps the horse can once again lower the colours of Diamond Knot. That was a three-quarter length success over a mile although the bookies take a dimmer view of the horse after the latest effort. In the Japanese 2000 Guineas, the runner could only manage a thirteenth-placed finish.
Rodeo Drive is trained Tetsuhide Tsuji and the three-year-old produced a memorable debut in Nakayama. The horse was able to finish second when being sent off as the favourite in the Grade Two New Zealand Trophy. The runner was beaten by the narrowest of margins by rank outsider Reservation and there could be more to come in this encounter.
Admire Quads was a winner in Kyoto back in November when the 8/5 joint-favourite was able to oblige over a mile. Since then, the Japanese horse has struggled to make the same impact. There was a third-placed finish at Hanshin towards the end of December before achieving the same finishing position at Nakayama in March.
