2025 bet365 Hurdle Betting Odds at Wetherby racecourse

Saturday, 01 November 2025

The bet365 Hurdle takes place at Wetherby Racecourse on Saturday. It’s the fourth encounter out of seven on the racecard, with Strong Leader boasting the most solid credentials. Olly Murphy trains an eight-year-old who is the top-weighted horse and might have some tough rivals for company in this long distance encounter.

Potters Charm racked up plenty of wins last term and the six-year-old is one of the younger adversaries in the race. Take No Chances may well have benefitted from a sixth-placed finish last time out and has the potential to also go well. Botox Has and Winter Fog are reasonable each-way chances and there could also be claims from Maxxum.

2025 bet365 Hurdle Betting Tips

Strong Leader is the one to beat according to the Wetherby betting sites. The horse returns to the track after finishing second out of eleven runners at Aintree in April. The runner was a solid performer in the Liverpool Hurdle, with that coming over three miles, half a furlong. That came after finishing fourth in the Cleeve Hurdle back in January.

Potters Charm has been a solid performer so far, with the latest effort seeing the horse finishing fifth in the Turners Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham at the Festival. This came after securing a runner-up spot in a Grade 2 Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham when the 8/15 favourite was beaten into second over two miles, four and a half furlongs.

Take No Chances has the scope to travel well over three miles, with the Dan Skelton-trained seven-year-old returning to the track after a couple of weeks. On that occasion, the horse ran well at Chepstow Racecourse and did well to finish sixth at odds of 20/1. The horse ran well at big odds in races at the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National meeting.

Botox Has was last seen finishing second-last at Auteuil back in April, although the horse was able to get the trip in the Rendlesham Hurdle over three miles, half a furlong at Haydock Park. There was also a solid effort at odds of 20/1 in the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham in January, with Winter Fog and Maxxum other contenders.

2024 Bet365 Hurdle Tips

Strong Leader is the horse at the top of the market when it comes to the bet365 Hurdle, with the horse able to fend off nine other rivals at Aintree last time out. There was a four and a half length victory which came at 8/1 in the Liverpool Hurdle and the fact that the runner did this in Grade 1 company suggests a strong run is on the cards here.

Previously to this, there was a decent effort in the Cleeve Hurdle when finishing third behind Noble Yeats and Paisley Park, with Dashel Drasher coming next in the market and it will be interesting to see whether the eleven-year-old retains the pace to perform well. Jeremy Scott will hope that there’s at least one more good season in his legs.

The horse was able to finish seventh out of ten horses last time out, with the runner nearly forty lengths behind Strong Leader, although we should expect the gap to be a lot closer this time around. In the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham, there was an eighth-placed finish and that came after finishing two lengths behind Strong Leader at Cheltenham.

Sandor Clegane was fourth last time out and the seven-year-old might live up to his Game of Thrones character and put up a good fight in this race. Paul Nolan trains a horse who achieved a midfield finish at Punchestown in a Grade One Novice Chase, although it’s been several races since we saw him in the winners’ enclosure.
