There are twelve fillies entered for the Fitzdares Mares Handicap Chase, with four horses all trading at a similar price. Hollygrove Cha Cha could go off as favourite, with Jamie Snowden saddling a six-year-old who is near the top of the weights order. There was a success last time out and it will be interesting to see if she can repeat it.

Alfie's Princess is an older adversary running for Sam Thomas. There was a seasonal debut win last time out, with Largy Force also available at a similar price. Olly Murphy saddles an eight-year-old who has landed a runner-up spot and a victory this term, while Bluey has also been in the winners' enclosure this season.

2026 Fitzdares Mares Handicap Chase Betting Tips

Hollygrove Cha Cha is a promising six-year-old who was able to land a victory at Exeter last time out. She was sent off as the 4/6 favourite and fended off two other runners over two miles, one and a half furlongs. That came after running third out of four horses at Carlisle in an encounter which was won by Resplendent Grey over two miles and four furlongs.

Alfie's Princess certainly has to be considered. There was plenty to like about her efforts at Wincanton on Boxing Day. The 15/8 favourite was able to score by three lengths in a Mares' Handicap Chase. The runner found the good to soft ground to her liking, with that coming after a long lay-off although previous form had been smart and strong.

Largy Force is an eight-year-old with bags of ability and she followed up a runner-up performance with a victory last time out. Olly Murphy saddles a horse who was successful at Uttoxeter over two miles and four furlongs. The 11/10 favourite showed plenty of character to get the job done and this came after a second placed finish at Warwick.

Bluey was successful at Kempton in mid October when the even money shot was able to succeed in a field of six runners. Then came a late November midfield finish at Newbury, with the horse then turning out in December when following home Hollygrove Cha Cha at Exeter in December. Perhaps she can get closer this time.
