Dash Handicap 2026 Result
There could be a big field lining up in the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dash Handicap, with as many as twenty runners taking their place at York Racecourse. There's a cracking card at the Knavesmire including this five-furlong encounter, with Fortification one of the leading contenders for a Class 2 encounter for three-year-olds.

However, Naana's Shadow is a horse that we prefer to side with. The Katie Scott-trained runner has claimed two victories in the past three outings and should be in contention here. Allsortz and Hallo Spaceboy are others that have displayed good form as well as Our Cody. There are lots of viable winners and you can land price boosts and extra places.

Naana's Shadow has been impressive this season and perhaps this is the best pick for the Dubai Dash Handicap on Saturday. Katie Scott's charge was a winner at Epsom last time out when obliging in a field of sixteen. The 7/2 favourite ran well over five furlongs after a third-placed effort at York in the middle of May when producing a strong display on good ground.
Previously to this, there had been a success at Catterick where a two-length success was enjoyed over five furlongs in a handicap race. The horse should be favourably weighted for this encounter, although Fortification is another contender worthy of consideration. This is a Brian Ellison-trained runner who scored at odds of 40/1 at York.
A week later and the horse returned to the Knavesmire when sent off as the 5/1 favourite. Once again, the charge hit the frame and finished just a length off the pace. A few weeks later, there was a tidy effort at exactly the same track. A third-placed effort in a field of twenty-two means that the bookmakers might send the horse off as favourite.
Allsortz has made a series of successful appearances for trainer David Marnane this season. Back in April, there were two outings on the all-weather at Dundalk. A second-placed finish was followed by a victory and both of these were over six furlongs. Then came a third-placed effort at Naas before stepping back to five furlongs and obliging on the soft ground at Cork.
