2023 Oaks Farm Stables Fillies Stakes Betting Odds at York racecourse

Friday, 19 May 2023

There is a big field scheduled for the Oaks Farm Stables Fillies' Stakes, with the runners and riders competing over one mile at York Racecourse. There are some talented mares entered and that includes the Charlie Appleby-trained Silver Lady, with the Godolphin horse set to take all the beating although Queen For You also commands plenty of respect from the layers.

Stormy Sea is trained by Sir Michael Stoute and he was successful last time out, while Coppice is trading at a backable each-way price. This is going to be a fast run race over one mile and there are lots of lively chances when it comes to the various horses who are competing, meaning that customers should look to get extra places on their bets.

2023 Oaks Farm Stables Fillies' Stakes Tips

Silver Lady has been heavily backed in the build up to this race, with Charlie Appleby’s charge now set to go off as favourite after previously trading at 7/2. William Buick is on board a horse who was an impressive winner at Newmarket last month, with this victory coming in the bet365 European Breeders' Fund Maiden Fillies' Stakes after obliging at even money.

Queen For You is also prominent in the betting, with John & Thady Gosden’s charge looking flashy when winning two weeks ago at Ascot. She was able to get the better of a small field to win a Royal Ascot Trials Day British EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes, with the horse coming from the back of the field to enjoy a comfortable win and there could be more to come.

Stormy Sea is another horse that comes into the race off the back of a win, with Sir Michael Stoute having high hopes for a runner that was successful at Haydock Park at the end of April. The horse was sent off as the 10/11 favourite and landed a victory over one mile on good ground, with Ryan Moore set to be a solid booking.

Coppice is an interesting runner who should go well for the Gosden’s, with an odds-on victory coming on the all-weather at Newcastle although this represents a much tougher challenge. Juliet Sierra has been out of action since September but has landed victories at Salisbury and Nottingham last season.
