Bet on Grade 3 Stakes Races at Laurel Park
There are a number of high profile horse races on the Laurel Park racecard and that includes the Barbara Fritchie Stakes which takes place over seven furlongs and this is a race for fillies and mares who are aged four or older.
The Baltimore Washington International Turf Cup is run over the distance of a mile and is open to horses aged three or older, with Bald Eagle and Fort Marcy having both landed two successes in this race and recent winners include Caribou Club and Doctor Mounty.
The General George Stakes is another high-profile big money race and this tends to take place on Presidents’ Day in the middle of February, with the race named after General George Washington.
Then comes the Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes which is run over six furlongs and this is a sprint race which has been in existence since 1990, with the race being the final and championship leg of the Mid Atlantic Thoroughbred Championships Sprint Dirt Division.
