2025 Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes Betting Odds at Ascot racecourse

Wednesday, 30 April 2025

We’ve got ten runners lining up in the Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes, with this being a Group 3 encounter and the betting market looks interesting. Electrolyte was a winner at the end of last season, with the Archie Watson-trained charge likely to go off as favourite. Big Mojo is another fascinating horse who has hit the frame on a regular basis.

Rebel’s Gamble has enjoyed some smart form, with Hallasan having claimed a win already for trainer Charlie Appleby this term. Dash Dizzy and Arabie could be worthy of an each-way gamble, while Ain’t Nobody has the potential to run into a place for trainer Kevin Ryan. Look out for price boosts as we approach the off in a bid to get the value.

2025 Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes Betting Tips

Electrolyte runs for Archie Watson and this is the highest-rated horse in the field when it comes to the Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes. Ryan Moore is on board the charge which ran wonderfully well at Chantilly back in September. On that occasion, the horse scored in the Prix Eclipse over six furlongs which was a bright display.

It’s also worth noting that the horse was a nose away from winning the Coventry Stakes at the Royal Ascot meeting. The runner was sent off at odds of 40/1 on that occasion, with Electrolyte having finished second-last in the World Pool Vintage Stakes at Goodwood. However, there’s lots to recommend Big Mojo who has produced some smart efforts.

The three-year-old finished fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf at Del Mar in the beginning of November, with that coming after a second-placed showing at Doncaster Racecourse. That came in the Flying Childers Stakes which was a Group 2 affair, with the horse also running brightly in the Gimcrack Stakes.

Rebel’s Gamble has been able to land a few victories, with all of these efforts being on an all-weather surface. There was a success at Lingfield at the beginning of March, with the horse also securing a victory at Newcastle and Southwell. Hallasan runs for Charlie Appleby and has already registered a success this term.
