2025 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle Betting Odds at Fairyhouse racecourse

Sunday, 30 November 2025

There’s a cracking Sunday card at Fairyhouse, with thirteen runners set to go to post in the Bar 1 Betting Royal Bond Novice Hurdle. It’s a two mile encounter and Love Me Tender is the JP McManus-owned charge who could be the one to beat. The Willie Mullins-trained charge is carrying more weight than the other adversaries and perhaps it could be worth looking at alternatives.

Gameball has racked up a couple of victories and Henry de Bromhead’s five-year-old has strong claims. Koktail Brut has also run plenty of times and could fare well for Gordon Elliott, with Port Authority having a few important wins under his belt. Eachtotheirown is the other horse trading at single figure odds and the six-year-old runs for Barry Connell.

Love Me Tender has been installed as the short-priced market leader for the Bar 1 Betting Royal Bond Novice Hurdle on Sunday. The four-year-old has collected three straight wins in his short career to date. There was a May success at Tramore and that was followed by the horse scoring at Kilbeggan, with the latest win being a novice hurdle triumph at Tipperary.

This Grade 2 encounter is a step up in class for the favourite and this also applies to the other horses in the field. Gameball started a fledgling career with a success at Ballinrobe Racecourse in July, with that coming before a more impressive triumph at Punchestown in mid-October. A six-length success was enjoyed in the BetVictor Maiden Hurdle.

Koktail Brut runs in the Gigginstown colours and the Gordon Elliott-trained charge was able to oblige on a seasonal debut. This involved the horse fending off twenty other rivals when achieving a nine-length success at Punchestown. Sent off as the 10/11 favourite, there was plenty to like about a performance on heavy ground over two miles.

Port Authority is another horse in the Elliott stable and there was a victory at Borris House back in March before the runner scored at Naas in early November. That maiden hurdle victory was achieved on soft to heavy ground and there was everything to like about a seventeen length success. Eachtotheirown was also able to win last time out.

Which horse can land a victory in the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle? Encanto Bruno runs for trainer Gavin Cromwell and the five-year-old was able to score at Cheltenham last time out. Sent off as the 11/4 favourite to win a Novices’ Hurdle, there was a two length victory over two miles and four furlongs after making a previous trainer switch.

An Tobar is a year older but has to stand a chance of recording a victory, with the six-year-old having won both outings to date. This includes a recent triumph at Fairyhouse Racecourse, with the 8/13 favourite winning a Maiden Hurdle over two miles on heavy ground. However, the horse hasn’t a huge amount of experience and perhaps there are better alternatives.

Slade Steel has scored three victories in four outings, with the five-year-old having recently won at Naas in a big field. Up against twenty-one other runners, the horse was able to win by five and a half lengths, with King Of Kingsfield second in that race and the latter is set to go again, having been the 8/11 favourite for the previous race.

Farren Glory was last seen appearing at Clonmel and there was plenty to like about a Maiden Hurdle victory which was achieved by nearly ten lengths. Fascile Mode was able to get over the line at Punchestown Racecourse on 11 October when beating fourteen other runners and there was a victory by twelve lengths.
