2024 Grey Horse Handicap Betting Odds at Newmarket racecourse

Saturday, 17 August 2024

We’re looking at a wide open Grey Horse Handicap, with this Class 4 encounter taking place on 17 August, with the runners battling it out over six furlongs. Fine Interview is one of the younger horses in the field, although he could be favourably weighted, while First Folio is trading at a similar price and has the credentials to go well for Julie Camacho.

Strike has landed three wins from four outings this season, with Jonathan Portman training a horse who looks like a good each-way price. Eminency and Star of Lady M are also available at single figure odds, with the field having a wide open look about it. Cervaro Della Sala is another three-year-old who has the chance to go well.

2024 Grey Horse Handicap Tips

Fine Interview landed a victory last time out, with the three-year-old heading the betting market for this six furlong encounter. Hamad Al Jehani saw his charge land a victory in a field of five runners at Ffos Las, with the horse having previously claimed third place out of eleven at Yarmouth although the runner still has plenty to prove.

First Folio hasn’t managed to land a win in the four outings this season, although the six-year-old has the potential to travel well for Julie Camacho. Ryan Sexton is on board a runner who finished third out of nine runners at Hamilton, with the same horse landing fourth spot at Thirsk in early July although there could be better alternatives.

Strike is a six-year-old who has landed consecutive victories, with Jonathan Portman having won a six furlong encounter at Windsor after triumphing at Newbury the month before. It was encouraging that the horse posted back to back successes, with the runner previously posting a third-placed finish out of nine horses at Salisbury.

Eminency has run plenty of times this season without actually being in the winners’ enclosure, with Stuart Williams training a runner who could improve at the age of four. Star of Lady M was successful last time out, with a notable success coming at Newmarket in a fillies’ handicap when being sent off at odds of 16/1.
