Wager on the Hilary Needler Trophy and Two Year Old Trophy

Beverley Racecourse hosts a number of meetings throughout the year and this is predominantly a flat track. There are a couple of five furlong encounters which traditionally take place in either May or June. The Hilary Needler Trophy is a five furlong showdown, with this being a two-year-old race for fillies. First run in 1965, customers enjoy going through the Beverley racecards in search of winners. We saw trainer Pat Rohan saddle the first two winners of this race, with Saulisa winning the inaugural running before Lester Piggott rode Lady Jester to victory. More recently, we've seen Perfect Part, Argentine Tango and Crystal Queen appear in the winners' enclosure.

On the same card at Beverley Racecourse is a two-year-old trophy encounter and it's another short and sharp encounter. The runners battle it out down the straight and we usually see a big field lining up. This means the chance to get extra places, with odds boosts also supplied by our recommended bookmakers.

Bet on the Charlie Wood Stakes and Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes

The Charlie Wood Stakes takes place in July and it's an encounter at Beverley Racecourse over one mile and four furlongs. It's a listed race which was originally run as the Fred Archer Stakes at Newmarket, with the race always attracting some star quality. Trainer Charlie Appleby enjoyed three consecutive winners between 2022 and 2024, with Rebel's Romance scoring ahead of Kemari and King Of Conquest. More recently, we've seen William Haggas saddling Candleford and Al Aasy. The race is often featuring horses that lined up at the Royal Ascot meeting in June.

The Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes takes place in late August and early September. A number of horses have landed two wins, including Chookie Heiton, Take Cover and Tis Marvellous. We've seen trainer Bryan Smart land a hat-trick of wins in this race along with Clive Cox.
