Go Dante has got some solid form coming into this horse race and the eight-year-old has been installed among the market leaders for this encounter. Olly Murphy trains a runner who is trading at a similar price to Lump Sum, with Sam Thomas having seen his charge land three victories from four outings this season.

Our Champ has been in the winners’ enclosure on two occasions this season and King Of Kingsfield is a six-year-old who represents Gordon Elliott’s best chance of success in this race. Brucio and Maidenstreetprince are other contenders and it will be interesting to see which runner lands a victory.

2024 Lydiate Handicap Hurdle Tips

Go Dante is a talented runner who looks well-handicapped for an encounter over two miles, half a furlong. The eight-year-old is carrying 11-6 and previously won at Sandown Park when landing a success in the Imperial Cup. This came after a third-placed finish at Newbury where the horse was able to fare well in the company of a big field.

Lump Sum was able to secure a victory in three of his four appearances this season, with Sam Thomas saddling a horse who is carrying 11-7 for this encounter. There was a novices’ hurdle success at Kempton and there were previously successes at Wincanton and Ffos Las for a six-year-old who comes into the race as a favourite.

Our Champ is a six-year-old with bold claims and there has been a couple of wins this season, with Chris Gordon training a runner who could be in receipt of a decent weight allowance. The horse could have King Of Kingsfield for company and it will be interesting to see how he copes with 11-12 as his weight allowance.

Brucio has a couple of wins under his belt this term and one of these came at the Dublin Racing Festival where the horse was able to oblige at odds of 20/1. This came after a success at Catterick and should be one for the shortlist along with Maidenstreetprince who will look to bounce back after falling last time out.
