2026 Copper Horse Stakes Betting Odds at Ascot racecourse

Tuesday, 16 June 2026

The Copper Horse Stakes represents the final chance to back a winner on the first day of Royal Ascot 2025. French Master has produced a couple of decent performances this term, with the four-year-old one of the highest-rated runners in the field. John & Thady Gosden trains this horse, although there are several others who are in the running.

Charlus has a solid pedigree and Willie Mullins will hope for a big run from his charge, while Caballo De Mar capable of also contending at the business end of the encounter. Leinster could be favourably weighted and also has Ryan Moore on board, with Goodie Two Shoes having landed a successive double last time out.

2025 Wolferton Stakes Betting Tips

French Master was a winner last time out, with the four-year-old claiming a victory in the Copper Horse Stakes. John & Thady Gosden trains a runner who has an official rating of 100 and this could be an each-way bet to nothing. The horse was last seen triumphing at Goodwood as the 5/4 favourite over one mile and six furlongs.

A repeat of this performance could be enough to secure a victory in this final race on Day One of the 2025 Royal Ascot meeting. That came after finishing second out of seven runners at Newmarket, with the horse performing well over one mile and four furlongs. Charlus could also be a serious contender and the horse returns after a long absence.

The horse was last seen running in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, with the 66/1 shot failing to make an impression on that occasion. However, that was preceded by a smart effort at Naas. On that occasion, the 10/11 favourite was able to score over two miles. That was on soft to heavy ground but now he’ll have to perform on good ground.

Caballo De Mar has enjoyed a spate of victories, with George Scott training a runner who was last seen winning at Haydock Park. This came over two miles, with the horse previously operating well when second out of fifteen horses at Haydock Park. There also some excellent displays on the all-weather surface at Southwell Racecourse.
