2025 Prix Foy Betting Odds at Longchamp racecourse

Sunday, 07 September 2025

The Longchamp card on Sunday is packed with high quality races and that includes the Prix Foy. This Group 2 race is set to go over the distance of one and a half miles, meaning a strong test of stamina. Iresine was a double winner when returning to the track to win the 2024 encounter two years after the horse was successful in the same race.

Sosie has performed well at Longchamp already and Los Angeles could be a viable contender. There are several horses trading at single figure betting odds, with Almaqam also a potential each-way contender. Map Of Stars can make a big impression and the bookies also respect the chances of Byzantine Dream.

2025 Prix Foy Betting Tips

Sosie was disappointing last time out and finished dead last at Sandown Park at the beginning of July. This was in the competitive Coral Eclipse although the horse might perform better over a longer distance. This came after a success at Longchamp towards the end of May in the Prix d'Ispahan, with the 7/10 favourite obliging with a win.

This came after another Longchamp success in the Prix Ganay, with the four-year-old able to beat favourite Map Of Stars when obliging by a neck. Back in October, the horse ran at Longchamp and finished fourth out of sixteen runners in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. However, Los Angeles could be capable of landing a victory.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained charge was last seen running at the Curragh in mid-August, with the 4/7 favourite underwhelming when finishing fourth out of six horses. This came after an underwhelming performance in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot, with the 13/8 favourite seven lengths off the pace.

Almaqam is a four-year-old with bags of ability, with the Ed Walker-trained charge finishing second out of seven runners at York Racecourse. That was in the Sky Bet York Stakes, with that coming after a success in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes. This was an impressive victory over one mile and two furlongs, with the horse likely to be a popular each-way selection.
