Prix Jean-luc Lagardere 2026 Betting Odds
Folsom Blues, Avec Toi and Amusingly are the leading contenders in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere, with the trio all having solid credentials to land a victory in the Group One showdown. Over seven furlongs, it’s a big test of pace and Avec Toi’s 100% record this season means that we’re leaning towards the Christopher Head-trained charge.

The Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere is a Group One race which is the second out of six on Sunday’s prestigious card. The runners and riders compete over seven furlongs, with a swift turn of speed needed to scoop a big prize pot. Avec Toi has been passing every test with flying colours so far and we see little reason to desert the Christopher Head-trained charge.
The two-year-old got the latest win on the board at Longchamp in early September when the horse made slightly hard work of winning as a short-priced favourite. That came after an August success at Deauville where a meaty winning distance of four lengths was achieved in the Prix Francois Boutin.
Folsom Blues has been first and second in the past four outings, with Joseph O’Brien training a horse that was able to score at Gowran Park in June. There was then a runner-up spot at Leopardstown before heading to the Curragh in August where the horse coped well with the stiffer distance of six furlongs. However, a September win at the Curragh means the horse is now favourite for this one.
Amusingly was in the winners’ enclosure on his debut when the Graffard-trained horse was able to score at Compiegne. The 13/10 favourite won by three lengths before a stunning effort at Longchamp. Although the runner didn’t win on that occasion, the September run saw the 5/2 chance narrowly miss out in the Prix d’Aumale.
