There are five horses trading at single figure betting odds at Newmarket for the Princess Royal Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Stakes, with Time Lock currently trading as the favourite to win. The five-year-old has yet to win this season although there was a smart third placed finish out of six horses in a competitive Group 2 Princess of Wales’s Stakes.

Place Of Safety is a younger adversary and she ran well at Newmarket at the beginning of August when finishing runner-up in a listed race, with that coming after a success on the all-weather at Kempton Racecourse in a previous encounter. Mistral Star is also one for the shortlist and the four-year-old is trained by Hughie Morrison.

There was a fourth-placed finish out of eight runners in the Yorkshire Oaks at the Knavesmire, with this coming after a success at Newmarket when fending off the challenge of twelve other runners. This was quite an eye-catching success where a three and a half length was landed over one mile and four furlongs.

Wingspan was able to land two victories this season and she has every chance of recording a place in this race, with Aidan O’Brien saddling a runner who was able to finish second out of nine runners at the Curragh last time out. This came in the Blandford Stakes over one mile and two furlongs, with just a neck separating her from the winner.

Running Lion has been installed at the head of the market to win the Princess Royal Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Stakes, with John & Thady Gosden saddling a runner who finished second at Salisbury last time out. Sent off as the 6/4 favourite in a Fillies’ Stakes, the horse found one too good, with the best form being a victory in the Pretty Polly Stakes.

That win came over one mile and two furlongs at Newmarket Racecourse where the horse was able to claim a victory by four and a half lengths, with the filly having proven inconsistent since then. The Prix de Diane Longines saw the runner finish bottom of the pile, with Novakai turning out and trading at a relatively short price to win.

The filly is among the highest rated runners in the field and she was able to score a victory in the Aphrodite Fillies' Stakes at Newmarket, with this taking place over one mile and four furlongs. This came by a convincing margin of nearly five lengths, with the horse then running reasonably well in the Yorkshire Oaks at York Racecourse.

Sweet Memories has been successful in back to back races and there was a triumph in the Chalice Stakes on the July course at Newmarket Racecourse. It will be Frankie Dettori on board this time around after Hollie Doyle previously got a tune out of a runner who won the Darley Fillies’ Novice Stakes over one mile and two furlongs.
