2025 MacMillan Sprint Handicap Betting Tips
Double Rush has secured back to back successes this term. Charles Hills was a winner at Newmarket back in April when fending off the challenge of nine other runners. Sent off as the 9/4 favourite, there was a stunning effort over six furlongs, with that coming after an odds-on success at Wolverhampton when obliging by four lengths.
Tawasol has been twice in the winners’ enclosure this term and could be capable of more fireworks. There was everything to like about a victory at Doncaster Racecourse, with that being a four-length success in a handicap race against nine other runners. That came after a notable win at Brighton and this looks to be a rock-solid betting option.
Invictus Gold is the only horse officially rated above 100 in this race. Tom Clover saddles a runner who was able to oblige at Newmarket in early May, with the horse producing a stunning effort to win over three lengths. That came after a previous effort at the same course where the runner was able to hit the frame when finishing third.
Marchogion has the ability to also run well. The three-year-old was able to succeed last time out when obliging at Newmarket in the middle of May. The horse was an 11/2 shot on that occasion, with this coming after a midfield finish on the all-weather at Newcastle. Indeed, most of his experience has been on all-weather surface.
2023 MacMillan Sprint Handicap
Quinault is the horse with the most outstanding pedigree when it comes to this 2023 MacMillan Sprint Handicap, with Stuart Williams hoping that his horse is able to keep scoring victories. Having obliged on the all-weather at Chelmsford in April, the horse then obliged with a victory at Brighton in early May and was able to keep the winning run.
There have been two further successes at Newmarket, with the first of these coming over six furlongs in the Lope Y Fernandez At The National Stud Handicap, with the horse then returning to the same track and scoring at a shorter price, although this race is a more stubborn test of the runner’s credentials and it will be interesting to see what happens.
Tough Enough is carrying slightly more weight for this encounter and the three-year-old can’t be discounted, with James Tate having saddled his horse to a victory at Windsor Racecourse. In early June, there was a six furlong success in a Windsor Sprint Series Qualifier after winning a Novice Stakes outing at Wolverhampton on the all-weather.
Catch The Paddy, Frankness and Pure Angel are the next horses in the betting, with Kevin Ryan training the former who was second on their previous outing. That was in a seven furlong handicap at York, while stablemate Quintus Arrius could also perform well and there have been two wins in the previous three races.
