What Are the Biggest Races at Salisbury Racecourse?

The Cathedral Stakes takes place at Salisbury races during the month of June, with this UK Flat horse race being competed over six furlongs and this listed race occurs on a Sunday and attracts some leading names. The Salisbury race cards have included a number of Richard Hannon Snr horses over the years and the trainer has saddled the winner on four different occasions.

Later in the year, we have the chance to enjoy some more Salisbury betting in the form of the Upavon Fillies' Stakes and this is a race for fillies aged three or older, with the horses competing over one mile and two furlongs, with Alpinista the winner in 2020 and jockey Frankie Dettori has claimed the spoils on five different occasions.

The Sovereign Stakes is also scheduled to appear on the Salisbury racecard in August and this is an opportunity to bet on the Salisbury races, especially if you want to wager on a one-mile encounter which is run down the home straight, with some of the leading trainers and jockeys pitching up for this race.
