What Are the Big Warwick Races?
There are a number of notable Warwick races and they tend to take place towards the beginning of the year. The course wants to hold some prestigious races to attract lots of punters who want to bet on the Warwick odds and there are some eye-catching horses that turn out at this course.
The Leamington Novices’ Hurdle is among the biggest when it comes to Warwick betting, with this being scheduled to take place each January and we often see horses go on from this race and compete at the Cheltenham Festival.
Because the Leamington Novices’ Hurdle takes place over two miles and five furlongs, the Grade 2 National Hunt hurdle race can often see horses either go on to run in the Champion Hurdle, the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle or even the Stayers’ Hurdle if the eventual winner shows excellent stamina.
Another big race you might find on the Warwick race cards is the Classic Chase and this is a three-mile steeplechase which is also scheduled to take place in January and there is Warwick betting available on a race which often provides a few pointers for the Aintree Grand National a few months later.

Bet on the Kingmaker Novices’ Chase at Warwick Racecourse
Another big race when it comes to the Warwick racecard is the Kingmaker Novices’ Chase, with this being a Grade 2 National Hunt steeplechase race which has been in operation since 1991.
The race is named after the 16th Earl of Warwick who was regarded as a "kingmaker" during the turbulent War of the Roses and there have been some notable winners including Flagship Uberalles in 1999 and Long Run in 2005.
