2025 Godolphin Stakes Betting Odds at Newmarket racecourse

Friday, 26 September 2025

There’s a maximum of ten runners set to line up in the Godolphin Stakes, with the runners and riders battling it out over one mile and four furlongs. Arabian Force has been shortening in the betting, although there’s the quality By The Book who could well be an each-way bet to nothing. Charlie Appleby could have several winners on Friday.

Isle Of Jura was racking up the wins two seasons ago although it’s been a long time since the five-year-old was last in action. Trading at a similar price is Eydon who was triumphant in a previous encounter and the six-year-old has enough pedigree to go well. Burdett Road and Pinhole are also in the running and there are lots of lively chances.

2025 Godolphin Stakes Betting Tips

Arabian Force is one of the younger horses lining up in the Godolphin Stakes and the three-year-old has been in the winners’ enclosure more than once this season. The latest effort came at York when the horse registered a third-placed finish in the Group 2 Great Voltigeur Stakes. The runner was only a length off the pace and explains why the charge is favourite.

This came after being runner-up in a listed race at Hamilton. That came after finishing seventh in the Hampton Court Stakes over one mile and two furlongs. There were previously smart efforts at Wetherby and Salisbury, with By The Book potentially able to take advantage. The Charlie Appleby-trained charge looks a good contender.

The horse returns to the track after a victory on the all-weather at Chelmsford back in December 2024 and it will be interesting to see what shape the runner is in. Perhaps Isle Of Jura is the one to back, with the horse having been a winning machine in recent times. Once again, the five-year-old has been away from the track for a considerable while.

However, it’s hard to knock a fantastic track record. Eydon is probably a more reliable contender based on an effort at Newbury in May. Sent off at odds of 16/1, there was a smart win in the Aston Park Stakes. Trading at a slightly bigger price, Burdett Road and Pinhole have both produced quality performances this term.
